Group Members Members
Chair Vanessa Basketer

Hi Members

Back again to report on behalf of the education subgroup so you know what we have been doing at our recent meeting. Please remember if there is anything that I have not made clear or questions you want to ask or suggestions you want to make please contact me via the website. The members of the website group have been working hard to make it a little easier for all of us to communicate so please have a go.

Recent Discussions

As I discussed last time we have been beavering away with the development of the BAUN study days. The programme to provide high quality study days providing access to all Urology nurses is currently being written and we hope to be able to launch the first of these study days at key areas around the country during the same week so that if you can’t attend one in Birmingham you might be able to get to Manchester or London or….the list goes on. We are hoping that we will be able to launch this in 2007 so if you have any ideas for future study day topics - Let us know. Either by the website or just give any of us a ring.

This is the time of the year when all the subgroups are reviewing their business plans and setting down new ones for the next 12 months. We will be keeping in mind the research that has previously been undertaken, conference evaluations & feedback from the web site to inform this process- so if there is anything you want to see developed to support your development then don’t keep it to yourself! Once this has been ratified via council we will give you a bit more detail.

The visit to Australia has provided another excellent opportunity for international networking and one of the members will be feeding back later on this year. We will then be able to evaluate the value of international visiting- if you have any comments let us know. More feedback to you at the conference later on in the year – so watch this space.

As always I will be keeping you posted - Julia
