BAUN Advanced Prostate Cancer Study Day

With support from Prostate Cancer UK, BAUN held the first Advanced Prostate Cancer study day at the Cambridge City Hotel in Cambridge.
Programme highlights included: The escaping cells: devastating consequences, Metastases & the bone environment, Hormone therapy: first line treatment, The management and treatment options for secondary bone disease and Management of castrate resistant disease: adter first line hormone therapy fails.

BAUN Annual Conference & Exhibition 2014
Monday 24th - Tuesday 25th November 2014
SECC, Glasgow
The 2014 annual conference was held at the SECC, Glasgow on Monday 24th and Tuesday 25th November.
The programme once again featured Pre-Conference Workshops on Urodynamics, Flexible Cystoscopy, TRUS and Prostate Biopsy, Radiology for Nurses and Sexual Dysfunction. Other programme highlights included the Eileen O'Hagan Lecture - testicular pain, role of chemo/ radiation in muscle invasive disease, active surveillance a debate on current protocols and certification: the America approach.

Management of Benign Bladder Conditions Study Day

Erectile Dysfunction Study Day

This study day was sponsored by Prostate Cancer UK and was the first date of three Erectile Dysfunction study days taking place throughout the country. Dates still to follow are Birmingham on the 3rd July and London on 3rd September 2014.
Programme higlights included: Anatomy and physiology of erection and sexual response, The role of testosterone and hypogonadism and Erectile Dysfunction and the Prostate Cancer Patient.

This event will be run simultaneously with the Benign Prostate disease study day, both events will share an exhibition and will be held in the Thistle Hotel Glasgow. Programme highlights will include: Focal/ minimal invasive therapy for renal cancer, Surgical Management of Renal Cancer and Clinical trials and future treatments.
Due to educational grants received from Novartis, Prostate Cancer UK and UKONS these attendance for this study day is now FREE for both BAUN members and non-members.
