Following the untimely death of Eileen O'Hagan, the Craigavon Urology Research and Education Group (CURE) and with BAUN set up an award in her memory.

Eileen O'Hagan was a urology ward manager at Craigavon Area Hospital, Northern Ireland and was a urology nurse and mentor of the highest quality. She was charming and even-tempered, seeking to produce improvements in systems and people by persuasion and example, rather than by argument and dissention. Eileen was always eager for change and believed that it was possible to improve the quality of care offered to patients.

The aim of the award is to encourage and support nurses who wish to engage in Practice Development, Research, Education, or a Travel Project that relates to urological nursing care. The award is open to all nurses who care for patients with a urological disorder in any healthcare setting within the United Kingdom.
