The Infection Prevention Society (IPS) and British Association of Urological Nurses (BAUN) jointly hosted a series of one day conferences on the following dates:
- Monday 18th June - Southampton
- Tuesday 19th June - Bristol
- Wednesday 20th June - Manchester
This series of FREE one day conferences focused on issues of practical catheter management, raising awareness of best practice based on the current evidence available. The conference was aimed at ward nurses, community nurses, healthcare workers and anyone with an interest in reducing catheter associated urinary tract infections (CAUTI).

Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men in the UK. 37, 000 men are diagnosed each year, and one man dies every hour. As the incidence increases so too does the burden for health care teams, both in primary and secondary care settings. This education meeting was jointly organised and hosted by the British Association of Urological Nurses and Prostate Cancer UK was designed to develop and update health professionals in any clinical setting caring for men affected by advanced prostate cancer.
